The CWX*SYNC plus Sync/PDI hosted service allows vendors to meet retailers’ requirements (such as Wal-Mart, Wegmans, etc.) to participate in the Global Data Synchronization Network (GDSN). With Sync/PDI, vendors can prepare their product information and then “publish” it to their retailers. Sync/PDI makes use of 1SYNC, the Data Pool operated by the GS1 US standards organization.

Sync/PDI provides the following key capabilities:

·        Automatically extract data from your CWX application, thus avoiding any re-keying errors.

·        Easy-to-use screens to enter the additional information needed by your GDSN retailers. The screens are dynamically configured based on the type of products you have and the retailers you will be serving.

·        Extensive upfront validation will identify GDSN and retailer data compliance errors. This makes it easier to ensure that all necessary data is available before sending to the GDSN and retailers.

·        Ability to generate paper and electronic documents for your Sales Reps. Sync/PDI can produce New Item Setup Forms and Excel spreadsheets.

Advanced search capabilities to enable superior customer service (e.g. identify products published to retailers) as well as improve data quality (e.g. correct compliance errors). Save complex search criteria for repeated use.

Powerful and dynamic product data entry with real-time GDSN validations based on commodity classification and channel. Also provides field level help and cloning of existing products to speed product data entry.

Generate reports and New Item Setup forms as Excel spreadsheets for use by sales reps and other business processes.

History for product data changes is provided. Track one or more changes and view either just changes or all the data on one page.
